• An Entrepreneur’s Love Story

A couple of relatives were concerned that I wouldn’t have a valentine today. Little did they know, I did. My valentine occupies my attention most of the time. We do practically everything together, and we stay in constant communication.

So, who is this mysterious suitor? It’s ABCD & Company, of course!  My role as a partner is a fully-fledged committed relationship. How? Being a business owner doesn’t end at 5pm, and there’s no weekend reprieve from the entrepreneurial grind. Everywhere I go and every interaction I have is an opportunity to network, pitch, or build the business in some capacity. That being said, ABCD & Company doesn’t leave much time for the leisure and love that so many people will be indulging in today. However, that’s ok, because I absolutely love what I do, and here’s my two reasons why.

My valentine occupies my attention most of the time.

We do practically everything together, and we stay

    in constant communication.

    1. Autonomy

Being an entrepreneur puts me fully in control of my career.  There are no glass ceilings, no bureaucratic obstacles, and no limits to what I can achieve.  My livelihood doesn’t depend on the fortune or fancy of a boss or some distant faceless corporate entity.  As a result, I have the freedom and flexibility to extend a helping hand to others.  If an employee has an idea, I can offer the opportunity to implement it. When clients are loyal patrons, I go above and beyond to give the most bang for the buck.  Being and entrepreneur gives me the power to truly help others by creating opportunities that would otherwise not exist.

    2. Company Culture

I love ABCD & Company’s commitment to investing in people. Sometimes the corporate world can be so impersonal that we lose sight of the ideals that originally inspired our career paths. At ABCD & Company, everyone is pushed to their limits and challenged to build expertise, forge strong relationships and ultimately be the best at what they do.  At the outset of the company, the partners committed to building people, whether employees, clients, or the public. That’ why we created the ABCD Institute; we want people to learn and grow as professionals.

One of the greatest qualities of ABCD & Company is the ability to be ambitious without being opportunistic. We value every potential client, and we have no qualm about turning down projects that are outside of our expertise.  Each customer deserves the best service, and we never compromise that quality for the sake of profit. The same is true for current clients; hence, our consultants realize that the client is not always right. When those situations happen, we are vocal—and our clients thank us for it in the long run.

In any good relationship, there’s give and take,

and there are ups and downs.

Some days, I relish entrepreneurship, while

other days I wonder if leaving the 9 to 5

    was the right move.

In any good relationship, there’s give and take, and there are ups and downs.  Some days, I relish entrepreneurship, while other days I wonder if leaving the 9 to 5 was the right move. Nonetheless, I love ABCD & Company, and I know I will not be disappointed if I keep putting my all into moving the company forward.  I’m not searching for a Valentine; I found one in #TeamABCD.
